View Full Version : Anybody have any experience with BBS RGR wheels...

...I posted a long time go on here about them and have only seen one mustang (a 98 Cobra) with them since then. I'm interested because they're really lightweight, look good (IMO), are forged, and I can get a set fairly easy since I live practically right up the street from BBS USA's distribution center ad a Tire Rack outlet. Also, for Mustangs they are available in 18x8.5 for the front and 18x9.5 with a bit of a lip for the back.

I'm pretty sure the Mach 1 racer from way back when used them in the 18x8.5 incarnation all around too...

BreBar21 and I exchanged several PM's regarding those wheels on svtperformance.com (I think I owe him a beer if we ever meet). I was about to pull the trigger, but decided against the wheels. There are not dark enough for my taste on my Mach. If I had a Cobra or a GT I think I would have purchased either the Black Diamond or the Silver.

So I've been pricing some stuff out and I have come to a crossroads as to what wheel I want to do???? Either Y2K Cobra R's powder coated flat black or the RGRs??

Anybody???

I USED BBS RK's on a previous 98 Cobra. I loved those wheels. If I had an 03/04 Cobra or something like that, would use them again.

But...to me the Mach needs wheels that look like a Mach. Not an exotic Mustang or Acura or something. I'm going back to stock wheels on my car and selling (cheap) my FR 500's.

As usual MHO....You asked. And BTW....it's your car and you can use any wheels you wish. Enjoy!!!
