I am about to get some FR500's for my Mach and was wondering if anyone knows if the stock Mach wheels will fit on a 2006 Explorer. Just curious if anyone has tried to put the wheels on an Explorer before I try to do it. Not sure how it would even look if they did fit.

I threw them on my 02 2WD ranger no problem one time for the hell of it

I saw them on a Ranger once. Can't say it did much for me.

I figure I will put them on next week and just see if they fit and how they look.

just like on our cars, you may trip the abs light if the tire diameter is too much larger/smaller than what is on the truck now. it should look awesome, but the short sidewall will look  . i tried a set of 17" roush wheels with 245/45/17s on my old 95 ploder and while the wheels themselves were ok, it still was way too    . off they came!

If they fit I will get some different tires and try to match up the radius and diameter of the stock 16" wheel/tires. Maybe 235/65/17.

It's not difficult to figure our how they will fit without even test fitting them.

Stock 17X8 mach wheels are 30 MM offset. This is stamped on the wheel as +30.

Your stock Explorer wheel also, has the offset stamped on the wheel I bet. My guess is the Explorer has more offset, but since the Mach wheels are wider, they may look OK. If you could tell me the Explorer offset, I (or about anyone who understands what offset is) can tell you how they will fit.

+1 my ranger had 235/55/17 Pirelli P6's i think and are very close to the original diameter

I will check to see if the rim has the offset stamped in it. I believe they are 44mm offset.

I had some on an Escape. I believe the tire size was 255/55/17 Kuhmos.

I test fit the rims last night and they fit just fine. All I need now are some new tires. 235/65/17 will do the trick. It looked pretty bad with the 245/45/17 tires.

Post some pics when you finally bolt on the wheels with the new tires on your truck.

Don't forget the 06 Explorer has a tire pressure monitoring system and unless you transfer the devices from the stock rims to the new rims it will cease to function and maybe light an indicator.

No maybe involved, definitely.
