I would highly recommend that you take a moment and visit the Maisto website and send them an e-mail asking that they make one. I sent an e-mail a couple of weeks back and received a reply today. They basically said that they will consider it.

The more Mach 1 owners they hear from, the more likely it will be people...:HOPPY:

Here's the website address. Let's deluge them with requests.

Thanks much! I made the request...If we got 100's of members to put in a request it just might work! Are there any 2003 Machs out there yet as die casts?

Done! I even went as far as telling them that they already have the correct body casting in house to do this ('99 Anniv. Mustang) so their costs wouldn't be astronomical. As well as my intention do to one of my own if they don't. ( I said one!) So far, nobody else has done anything Mach-wise as far as die casts or any kind of replicas.

C'mon people....let's show these guys that we really want a diecast of our car!!!

AutoArt makes more detailed diecasts. I have their last 5 Mustangs and they are excellent.

Auto Art makes excellent pieces, I have a number of them myself. Their stuff is also about 2-3 times the price of Maisto pieces. It' s maybe tough enough to get these made and sold at $20-$25, much less as $60-$90+. They do have a good start since they did do the '01 Bullitt, it could easily be updated to replicate the Mach 1. I guess it'll be more a case of who does it first...if at all?!

I sent an e-mail to then tonight and suggested offering different colors to them. I sure hope they do make one that looks good. I would more than likely buy one of every color. :HOPPY:

Sadly, there's probably a better chance of seeing a 100th Anniversary car or a 40th Anniversary GT on the shelf than there is Mach 1. Heck, the '03 Cobra die cast has been out and there is even a Focus SVT die cast out...Where's that Rodney Dangerfield thread about no respect?

I did the same. I just recently got the '99 and it's pretty accurate, in a Maisto kind of way (though the fuel tank seems a little backwards). I've even thought about painting it white like my '99 was. . .

I just put in my E-Mail let's hope that finally someone will make a diecast for us in various colors. Azure Blue for me, but even a white one we can paint to what we need. Let's keep the E-Mail going to them.

Cosidering they made the bullitt, super stallion, and Saleens, I think Autoart would be the best candidate to make it, since as falcongtho3 said, they already have the 01 bullit molds, and it really wouldn't take long to update it.

There will be a model soon from Beanstalk, which is a division of the Ford Motor co.
They are expected to be out this fall.

chipthulin, that is great news. Where did you hear it? Is there a website we can go to to see it?

My sources tell me that Beanstalk gets their diecasts from elsewhere for Ford...

At any rate...we want Mach 1 diecasts and I will be buying more than one from WHEVER makes them...

Bet I'm not the only one!!

Thanks for letting us know but if its a division of Ford won't it come out at about $129.00?

Beanstalk is a company that Ford recruited to be in charge of all of their Anniversary items, as well as other merchandising. They are responsable for the very nice Ford GT diecast that Tony and I discussed on another thread. I also have their Aston Martin Vanquish from Die Another Day, from which they also did the T-Bird and rather goofy looking XK8. Their attention to detail is excellent, as is the packaging. As with many merchandising companies, they may well have them built to specs by one or more vendors, much as Franklin Mint and Kyosho have teamed up for some superb pieces, including a super size Vanquish. Beanstalks main office is actually off of 15 Mile Rd. (Maple Rd.), about 4 or 5 miles east of Woodward. Passed their place while checking out the surroundings, and ran across them although they were closed at the time.

Im gonna try to make my own using available 03 body and shaker scoop from 69-70 ertl mach. Some one will make one sooner or later though. Besides dont they have to be licensed by Ford? The 99's can be had on ebay.

Most of these companies have licenses with Ford so that matter would be a minor one. I am still probably going to do my own soon, using the '99 Maisto Anniv. coupe. There is no acceptable '03 out there in plastic or metal, since the only '03 in production is the Cobra and the front air dam and rear spoiler are all wrong for this project. The '99 has the right front air dam, rear spoiler, and side scoops the latter two which rule out the regular '99 GT that is now available. I've looked at the '69 ERTL Build it yourself kit and I might make a shaker using it as a pattern or mold negative.

If that is true about Beanstalk and the quality is the same as the Ford GT, then we are in for a treat. I VERY much like the Ford GT and not too horrible of a price at $30.00.

Meanwhile, I did send a note to Maisto also.

I went to ebay looking and was amazed....it seems to those making die cast that the only Ford being made right now is the Cobra.....

Whats even more frustrating is that of current Ford vehicles, you can get '03 Cobra, SVT Focus, H-D F-150, reg. F-150, Sport Trac Exploder, and even an Escape in die cast...no Mach 1!!!!:!!:

I actually did get a (very nice) reply from Patrick Mulligan, the Licensing Approval and Support Coordinator at Beanstalk Group. That's the good news, the flip side is that there are no Mach 1 diecasts on the horizon. He went on to state that this could change, but would be at the descision of the manufacturers some of who do have current body style castings that could be modified (i.e. Maisto, Auto Art) for a Mach 1. He also said he would be keeping my information on hand and would let me know if this changes. I did also inquire about a 'Registry' edition, but there was no mention as there is no piece to do this with as of yet.

falcongtho3

You asked for it;
Anson usanson@aol.com
Auto Art www.autoartmodels.com
Beanstalk Group www.beanstalk.com
Eagle Collectibles www.eaglecollectibles.com
Exoto www.exoto.com
GMP www.gmpdiecast.com
Lane Automotive www.exactdetail.com
Maisto www.maisto.com
Ertl www.rceertl.com
SunStar www.sunstartoys.com
Yat Ming www.yatming.com
Welly USA www.wellydiecast.com

The last three are up and comers in the die cast market, although Yat Ming has really been around a while. Those may be the ones willing to risk doing a project like the Mach 1. Welly has done a very nice series of '69 Boss 302's. Sun Star has done a '71 Mach 1/Boss 351 and Cougar.

Thanks for all the email address's. I emailed all that I could find a contact address at their site. Some the page wouldn't come up. I did get most you had listed. I think the only was we can get a die cast is to be the "squeaky wheel". Lets all pitch in!
