It’s finally time to let somebody enjoy this car. I bought it new in Jan 04 and it has sat in my climate-controlled garage and under the cover (cover included) since new. I uncover it and take it around the block about once every other month to move the parts and roll the tires but just don’t have time to play with it.
Its bone stock and never seen wet pavement or been raced. Don’t know how else to really describe it other than it’s a brand new car.
Only thing in the trunk is the last 3 years of “Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords”. Had to put them somewhere.
I have photos so you can email me at jkleven@cableone.net if you are interested in purchasing this car.
VIN: 1FAFP42R64F176150
$24, 500 OBO.

Don't need to sell but will. What is it worth? OBO stands within reason. Should I give a whirl on Ebay? I just don't follow the scene so you guys tell me what its worth if you were shopping or not. Won't trade it in as the wife says let's drive it if not sold by summer but I still think somebody or somebody's friend/son/daughter would love to have one that is virtually brand new. I'm not trying to gouge, just honestly don't know what these bring in this condition. Be frank with me.

You be Frank, I'll be Dave. :D

Sounds a bit high, but for a basically new car it's worth what someone will pay for it. Good luck with the sale!

Sounds amazing. Sucks being a mustang fan and being poor. I don't like the prospect of never being able to afford a new mustang until 10 years have passed :frown:

not bad actually. Try ebay.

I paid about the same last week for my TR 03 with 5660 miles. It had a stroker motor, FR500 intake and a bunch of other knick knacks, but yours being low low mileage and stock should bring close to the same.

I think ebay at 23k and it could move.

Screw that. If you have a climate controlled garage and enough toys or work to have an 04 with that low miles......I wouldn't take less than 25k.

You can afford to keep it. I bet it's paid off.

This car is going to depreciate at a slower rate than other cars.

Well, I can afford to keep it but its starting to not make sense. If you look at some of my original posts when I first bought it, I was torn with what to do from the beginning. I almost modded it but knew it would be just another Mach if I did. I guess it IS just another Mach except it has not been driven. If I were a younger man, things would be different I can assure. Thanks guys.

I agree, don't take ANY less than you want for it! Your car IS new, and while it may be hard to find someone that is looking for a new Mach 1 there will definitely be someone.

I just want what its worth, not a dime more. Since I really don't follow the trend, I'm at whatever you guys want to pay. I've had several 20K offers and it might go for that and thats fine. I'll let it go in a week or so for whatever it brings.

I wouldn't take a dime less than what your asking. That thing is cherry. If I had room in my garage I would buy it to put next to my SY '04. Good luck with the sale.

It IS worth 24.5K and thats what I would hold for if I were you....how many under 1K miles and unmolested out there now??

This information is misleading the seller because they were going for 24.5-25k brand new at the end of 04 when dealers were doing end of the year factory incentives and dealer discounts. A 3 year old car is going to depreciate even if its sets in the garage and is never driven.

$21,425 is the current Hi-Retail value for that car out of my current NADA book i have. At the right time at auction it might go a little more especially for the miles of course..

$21,425 might be what it brings just like you said and that is fine because that is probably the most a bank will loan if you need finacing. KBB might be less or more, I don't know becaue I have not looked but really doesn't matter. I'm inside two weeks of letting it go near that price but I hope the preperation has been done on the buyers part so we can make the transaction simple.

Are you still selling it or did you have a buyer? If you dont mind me asking what was the highest offer thus far?

It's still for sale and I have a couple of offers I'm considering. Out of respect for them, I'd rather not post their offers. Hope you understand.

not a problem, I see how some could interpret it as rude if you posted their offers. I was just wondering. I know some will say that this car being practically brand new means it is worth 25k but considering that when this car was sold over almost 4 years ago it didnt cost much more than that.

I know it has less than 1k miles and that is amazing, but it is still a 4 year old car. I am looking for a mach closer to 20k so I was just curious. Good luck with your sale.

Couldn't agree with you more, it is a 3 year old car. It is what it is. Thanks.

After a quite emotional rolllercoaster in my mind to the offers in the 21K range, I've decided to keep the car for now. Several of you gave fair market offers and I truly appreciate the interest. I did say OBO but I can't let it go that low. I regret now for the post saying OBO and I know that is not fair, sorry about that. After a long talk with my best friend and wife, I realized I was selling it for the wrong reason. Money was not the issue and it means quite a bit to me since I turned 40 the same time this 40th anniversary Mustang was introduced and I always wanted one.
To those that sent an offer, please accept my sincere apology that I have decided to keep this car.
