Just finished reading the paper today and the usual car ads were in there. You can buy a new 2007 Ford Ranger Ext cab for $10,995. Then you read the fine print which shows the price already includes $3500 cash down or trade. This burn my shorts. I guess if I want to come in and put down $7500then I will get the truck for $6,995. OOOHHH what a deal!

Just goes to show dealers love to toe the shady deception line. Just put the bottom line price on the car and be done with it. Let me decide what I will put down or trade in.

They've been doing that one for years. Pisses me off too. Borderline false advertising....shows ya that you ALWAYS have to read the fine print...

Then you've got all those discounts they include in the reduction price that you don't even qualify for: Mobility discount (handicapped), college student, active military, first time buyer, blah, blah. :notsure:

I find it funny when you see the ads that see "ONLY MAKE PAYMENTS OF $75!!!!" in the fine print it mentions that that is $75 a WEEK or $300 a month for some crappy car.

It's amazing in this day and age that dealers still try these scams. I mean with all the books and web advice no one should fall for these tricks.

Actually da Colonel being an old fart is just "urban legend".

I think he's a few years younger than us FM, that's why he acts like a kid most of the time.

He does make some good :32: --------------------:fro:

Oh no, it's true.....I have met him in person and he is indeed old, and as the legend has it, he does in fact look like Colonel Sanders :32:

Nothing wrong with acting like a kid of course, that opinion coming however from someone who uses a Beavis avatar...
