Would a Mach 1 use the same Steeda timing adjuster and pullies as an '01 GT? If so,:D I'll just remove mine when time to trade.

I would think that the Mach 1 would use the same Pulleys and T/A as the '01 Cobra since it's the DOHC engine.

If I remember correctly STEEDA uses the same timing adjuster for SOHC/DOHC! It just depends on the pullies, I believe the Cobra's are a different size than your GT?

Mach_Speed is correct...here's a paste from the listing at Steeda.com for the T/A:

1996-2002 4.6 Mustangs (GT & COBRA)

We have to be careful with some of these parts if you pre-order. Anyone remember the mid year GT water pump pulley change by Ford?? Caused a few problems, not entirely sure if we can swap part for part on the MACH1 with 01 Cobra parts just yet. Now if you get a good deal and can get your money back if it dosne't work out....

Mach_Speed and BULLITT680 are right on, but the underdrive pullies are different on the Cobra vs. the GT. Probably due to the different crank shafts.

It is possible that the Mach1 with the automatic might use the GT pullies, and the 5 speed might use the Cobra pullies.

This is from Steeda:
Part # Description
701-0001 1996-mid 2002 4.6L GT Underdrive Pulleys
701-0002 1996-1999 4.6L Cobra & BullitUnderdrive Pulleys
701-0003 Mid 2002-on 4.6L GT Underdrive Pulleys
701-0004 2002 4.6L Cobra Underdrive Pulleys

Priced from $159.95 - $169.95
Strange that they list a set for a 2002 Cobra???

Anyway, like llcoolstang said, we should probably wait until the aftermarket product manufacturers know for sure.
