Can anyone here tell me why some of the older people (hmm...Im 35)
call our cars MARK 1 ?
Has anyone else heard of this ?

Ah, the old people remember the Mark 0.5 version, so they automatically assume it's the new Mark 1.0 version.

The MarkI was the first version of the GT40. It was 4.7L (289) powered. Pics of Mk1-4 below.
Mark is a Brit thing, as per Spitfire, etc........................

The Mark1 was Rugers 1st .22 rimfire semi-auto pistol. They just came out with the Mark4 version.
Weatherby also produced a Mark II .22 rimfire semi-auto rifle years ago.

The car that Speed drove was the Mach 5, but not many people care, so for all intensive purposes, it's a mood point.
