We finally got the best of a Hurricane!

LSU went in to tonights Peach Bowl as a 7 point underdog against the Miami Hurricanes. The shirts around town said;"Miami, just another hurricane". It spoke volumes about the attitude in this area, as well as our love for the LSU Tigers. As I write this the clock is ticking down and it is 40-3...Tigers! I think everyone was stunned at not only the win, but the total dominance of the team. A q/back that started his first game and played like a seasoned veteran. A defense that would give no quarter. I woudl take nothing from a Miami team that went in ranked 9th, and earlned every bit of it this year, but my hat's off to the Peach Bowl winners...LSU...Geaux Tigers!!! :borg:

Being a Georgia fan, I first have to say......Go Dawgs!! Now that I got that out of the way, it was awsome to see a "lesser' SEC team beat up on a "better" ACC team. So I guess for tonight it was Geaux Tigers!!! :D

It just goes to show that most of these ACC teams that the media is so eager to pimp every year wouldn't play .500 ball in the SEC, not Virginia Tech, not FSU and we see not Miami.

Sounds like Miami put up more of a fight in the tunnel after the game then during the game on the field.

Still waiting to hear the final story about all that, the last report was that it was just a couple of guys goofing around...nothing serious (I hope!) :borg:

I think Yahoo Sports described it as a brawl, but who knows....

I watched ESPN Sports Center late and they reported it was a non-event. Teh player that was escorted off the field had gotten tagged with a helmet, but that was accidental and the others were just clowning around...

Gee, I wish LSU had brought out this new secret weapon (Q/B Flynn) earlier in the season, but with the screwed up season (thanks to those other hurricanes) they were forced to play stright through the season with no open dates it was exhausting. But it sure would have been nice to cap it off with another Nat'l Championship... :borg:
