FYI - Just noticed in todays paper, Mike Brown Ford in Granbury Texas (817-573-111) has two (2) Mach 1s in stock and are selling at $1,200 off MSRP. Grandury is just southwest of Fort Worth.

If anyone in the area is looking for a Mach 1 this might be worth checking in to.

Always possible I guess. I just reported on what was in the paper....I didn't call the dealer for details.

Drove by Town & Country Ford in East Dallas today and they had 3 Mach 1 onthe lot. I asked how they got 3 and they said Ford increased to total production to 20,000.

I don't always believe dealers, but they did have 3. :Flame:

Hummm, very interesting. Today was the first time I have seen an add in the local paper for a Mach 1. There does seem to be a few around nowadays. No reason for someone who wants one not to find one, at least in a major market. The dealership I bought mine from had a Azure blue one listed on their web site and it stayed there for over a month.

It is just a little disconcerting that they are most certainly going to make more than the 6,00-6,500 as we were led t believe.

I remember when the Corvette 2002 Z06 with 405 HP came out The local dealers wanted $10,000 above MSRP and were getting it!! Today in the same paper 2003 Z06s were discounted $8,000.

Posted this in the ordering section, but there are 43 Mach 1's in the DFW metroplex right now... so there might be some truth to the whole increased production thing.

An Ohio dealer has the exact Mach I want. They have had it sitting in the showroom since February. The only reason I haven't bought it is due to the fact that they wanted $5K over sticker and the best they will come down to is 1K over sticker. The sales manager told me he doesn't care how long it sits there.

This is from the Mach 1's for sale section on this forum. Call FordFreak for a quote. In here he says $28,600 with some color choices. The savings will buy a bunch of plane tickets. http://www.mach1registry.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3981

6,500 Mach 1's. Based on population, Texas would receive about 470 Mach 1's. Some dealers won't get any, and obviously those who will get them will be concentrated in urban areas.

Texas has about 8 major metro areas. I would expect at least 80% of Mach's to be allocated to them. That means 50 each. How many dealers are located there? 5 each? 10 a piece, easy. Not to mention I've seen a lot of activity where dealers are trucking the cars in from other districts, too.

At last count 17 dealers with 46 Mach 1's. Average is about 3 Mach 1's per dealer with some dealers having 5+ Mach 1's on their lot. What I find strange is that this isn't ALL the Mach 1's these dealers have recieved, just the ones that are on dealer lots RIGHT NOW.

I doubt it. I bought mine for under sticker. So have lots of other people. Texas and Florida seem to have excess MACHS. It's worth the road trip to get a good deal.

If your local dealer is feeding you B.S. get in touch with "FORDFREAK" at Mullinax Ford in Orlando.
A+ dealership, No B.S.
(Plus, the drive home was fun!)

I am in the process of pricing. Need to get down to Edmunds.com's TMV of $27,600 if I have any chance at all of getting my wife to go along with it. Got the first price back this morning from 2 dealers, one was $28,250, and the other was sticker plus $5k for market value. Both dealerships are within 45 minutes of my house, so it pays to check around. Now to go to work on this guy!
