maintenance questions

Okay, this Mach1 is my first new car, so please just help me out.

What maintenance should I do and at what mileage? I've heard you shouldn't change out the transmission fluid after 60,000 miles if it hasn't been changed before, etc. Is this true? When should I change certain fluids, etc? I do the normal oil changes/tire rotations, etc. Thanks. :)

i think the tranny fluid changes are every 30,000

You don't say what trans you have. I think the autos go longer before a fluid change is required.

I have an auto tranny.

I would have it changed at 30,000 miles.

heres the key, after 50k or 60k miles, change tranny fluid every 10 thousand or so... but dont change ALL of it. Suck out about half and change with new fluid. We do this on my dads older truck and it work good.
