Just curious has anyone changed there exhaust on there Mach and if so did it come off easy or did anyone have to cut the pipes off the end of it.

I had to cut the catback off, made the cuts up high over the axles so if they need put back on, it won't look bad. After that, everything was simple to get off.

If you want, you don't have to cut it. You can just drop the rear axle, although it would require more work, so some people just cut it.

I was all set to go with Magnaflow x w/cats but my performance guy swears by Bassani. Now I don't know. Wish I could hear some real cars rather than sound clips.

I've installed a Bassani off road X with stock catback and it crackles too much, not too happy with the sound, kinda rattly at many different RPM levels. I need to do something different, it's a bit loud inside.

i cut the exhaust off on mine, but to answer your question i put a bassani x-pipe on mine then for the exhaust i put a magna flow exhaust. now to show you something. jeff has dynamax exhaust and bassani x-pipe and with same mods except gear dyno at 295 rear wheel hp and with my set up it dyno at 300.5. we both agree my system sounds better. i like bassani too but this magna flow seems to be the ****. this week im replacing the bassani x-pipe with a dr, gas and see if i get any gains. ill let you know.

I ordered and installed the Motorsport hi performance cat back last week, the sound is just a bit louder than stock, but the look is awesome. The tips are 3" and cut at a 45 degree angle, very agressive looking. If you like to "Walk softly and carry a big stick" the part number is #M-5230-M52

I could be wrong, but aren't the stock exhaust tips 3" and cut at a 45 degree angle? I know I measured the OD for someone months ago, and it was 3 inches.:??:

I am 99% sure that the Motorsport exhaust is all Borla stuff. Ford has always used them in the past as their supplier.
