Hello guys and girls,

Had some questions for you autocross racers.... I really like to drag race my car on the weekends BUT... I have allways wanted to try autocross racing. Is there a way to set up my car to do both? I don't really know alot about this kind of racing so any help would be great.

Thanks
Danny

Just show up and run. You'll have fun. With that Aircharger and Intake spacer your not going to be stock class though, at least in SCCA. Likely Street-Modified though I don't really know. I didn't see any suspension mods so the basic advice on street tires (if that's what your running) is overinflate the tires. Something in the range of 30-35 in the rear, and 42-48 in the front.

Cool....

My car is put away for the winter so I have time to mess around with it before summer. ( got another 20" of snow comming :grr: ) I was planing on doing some suspension mods anyway this winter. Any ideas of what I should do first???

There's certainly better people to ask than me, I'm new to all this. If your not worried about staying in a stock class like me there are tons of things you can do to the suspension including improving the rear suspension. Do some searches on "autocrossing", "suspension mods", etc. and you should find tons of threads with info on all kinds of suspension mods. Steeda has an excellent reputation for suspension pieces for our Mustangs so another thing you could do is just take a browse of all the different stuff they have, but of course there are plenty of other vendors. Caster/camber kit, lowering springs, better shocks, coil-over kits, panhard bars, stronger front sway-bar, and a strut tower brace are just a few of the more popular suspension mods.

Dont do it. Once you try it you'll be hooked... you'll motgage your house, get a second job, sell extra things around the garage just for a few more more mods. BTW, does anyone want to buy a stock suspension..slightly used? :)
