If Prestone or any other coolant manufacture states on there product that it is compliant with VC-7A as Fords recomendation of coolant to be used in our mach engines as a direct replacement for coolant, then it should be ok to use. Otherwise i would just use the motorcraft premium gold engine coolant (yellow-colored), VC-7A (U.S., except CA and OR), VC-7-B (CA and OR only), depending on what your coolant looks like and what part of the states you live in. Apparently there are two gold/yellow rated coolants and one orange rated coolant type from Ford. Make sure you know which one you have by color and by what state you live in before you add coolant.
