Our weekend project was getting our Mach 1 ready for
the upcoming racing season and with only 12 days to
go we got a lot done!
Here's a picture of our harness. Let me know if anyone
needs help doing this...it's so easy!

We also took out the stock struts (you wouldn't believe
how easy they were to compress by hand!) and put in
double adjustable Konis.....

We also changed the front sway bar to a little
beefier one and the shocks were changed over
for Koni adjustables too. Needless to say the
Cobra is back to stock! :D

Go Speed Racer,er...CrissyCobra, go! Look awesome, the harness looks like an addition I might consider adding even for a regular strret Mach 1. Best of luck, and look out for those suicidal pylons that like to jump out in front of you!

Our harnesses come from Racer Wholesale---
www.racerwholesale.com
Pt # GF-5030 for $70 it comes in Blue, Black and Red.
It's a 5pt, latch and link H-type harness. The last set
we bought came with the mounting hardware---just
be sure to ask, if not use part #GF-103 and you'll need
5 of them ($2.49 ea) and I really recommend shoulder
pads--Part # MAT4098 for $14.99. Lastly we don't use them
on the street---mainly because of reduced range of motion....
can't reach the stereo or close the door if it's open too far.

The shoulder straps bolt in under the rear seat belts, so you
have to pull the rear seat. And the lap belts bolt in under the
stock shoulder belt mount in the floor and the other lap belt was
a pain! We finally decided to put it under the inner rear seat
mount bolt, but had to bend the harness mount to the curve
of the floorpan. I'll take pictures, they are so much easier to
explain when you can see it. We used grade 8 bolts on the
outboard lap belts (that mounted under stock belt mount).

We're still working on mounting the sub-belt on the driver side.
But think we'll attach strip of angle aluminum at the front
of the seat frame and attach it to that. We just drilled a larger
hole in the center of the passenger seat flange and attached
that sub-belt there.

See, easy stuff! Even a girl can do it! Next I'll tell you about
how I wired the sequential turn signals! That's way too cool!

I have raced WRX's and they are about the easiest cars to
hop in and drive well! Last night I learned how nicely and AWD
WRX does donuts in the snow! It goes in a constant perfect
circle---it just pivots! Fun! I'm confident you will silence them!
This Mach is awesome!

Really like the setup. Mine's a "Y" type, though. Meaning the shoulders meet together behind the headrest, and continue down as one. BTW, I would really suggest going with the G-force, as CRISSYCOBRA has. 3" belts! Beefier is better!:

You'll be racing in less than 2 weeks?
Where? California, Florida or Texas?

Looks great. Good luck.
