Last night I went to a nice resturant with optional valet parking.
The attendant was practically drooling when I pulled up. He made sure my car had top spot parking and was still staring at the car when I went inside. Kinda made me proud but the whole meal I
was picturing "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" in my mind. I did check the odo and he was a good boy, but still I wonder.
On the other hand, it's nice to have a car that tops BMW, MB's and so on for valet drool...LOL
Would anyone else use valet for the Mach?

Just the thought of it makes me nervous. I did valet park my C5 one time but tipped the guy really good ahead of time to watch my car. He moved another car so he could watch it from where he stood. It's always a good idea whenever you leave the keys with someone, especially at the dealership, to write the mileage down. As a rule, I don't like valet parking a performance car for the obvious reasons. It's just too much temptation for some. :D

I don't worry. I just don't take the Mach anywhere where someone else drives it - except to the dealer for service...and they know how finnicky I am about the car. They even know not to tell me to bring it in if its raining.

I can't afford to go anywhere with valet parking so it has never been an option for me! :D

I have done it once before at NY NY Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The Mach was fine, but I felt a lot better seeing it drive up.:machgod:

I valet mine out at City Walk. I make sure to take down the mileage and I watch em park it. Never had any problems. I used to be a valet and know what happens to some cars. Theres really not much place around there they could get away with beating on it anyhow (low speed limits and cops all over).

Ontop of all that, I know the City Walk manager very well (hes my step dad) and if anything happened to my car, heads would roll instantly.

Theres also alot more risk parking it in the regular parking garage out there. Someone dings your door your screwed, if it happens in valet youve instantly got it narrowed down to a couple of people.

Here is how you valet park. You pull your car into the valet spot and get out with money in hand. Give it to the valet with your keys if you must. Don't let the valet drive your car. That is one sure way of making sure all of the rest of our Machs increase in value. Attrition. If the valet spot isn't nearby, park it somewhere else, and get a little exercise. Park it where when you return you can admire it as you are walking uo to it.
