Fly By Video of My Mach

Finally got the Mach back on the road...a few weeks back I retuned the car with the upgraded head unit and I ran into yet another problem. I pulled the car off the dyno and took the car home. On my way home I blew the front seal out of trans pump and the car was down for another week. I replaced the seal and went out to beat on the car to make sure I wasn't going to have any more problems. I took a friend along just in case I ran into a situation or needed a ride home.

Anyways...he thought it would be a good idea to video the flog session and I put the clips together in the video below. I also added some shots of the exterior of the car, the interior, and the blower under the hood.

For those that wanted to hear how loud the ProCharger is...click the link. The blower sounds alot louder on the video than it does in person but it will give you an idea what it sounds like. The Clip is just under 10MB in size, so if you are on a SlugB!tch dail-up it will take awhile.

How long have you had the procharger?? Any problems? That is one of my next mods but ive heard that you can brake the engine with a supercharger. How many lbs of boost are you running? Awsome video......

15lbs...if you watch the video closely u can see it tap the 15 on the 1-2 shift.

Thanks for the props on the video guys. Lots of peeps have been asking me for a long time to hear/see the blower up close...finally got off my lazy...err busy a$$ and shot some vid. I hope to have some drag strip video soon...may be doing a track rental on the 10th at Norwalk.

I've had the blower on the car for almost a year and a half now. It went on in april of last year. I also went the 11.5 with the P1SC, 10psi, and 430rwhp. I have 75rwhp more on tap with the D1SC and I have a functioning transbrake. If I bolt up a set of slix and leave on the brake...i could hit the 10s. And...I would have to up date that video :D

Oh yah...ive got 15,000 miles of boosted pleasure without motor problems.

I got a super sweet deal on mine since my car was used to develope the kit. As for the going price...there are several threads in the Mod section about best price. Don't wuss out with the 6lb kit...go for the gusto and get the 9psi kit. Actully, I would recomend getting the P1SC-II kit. The head unit has a much better impeller design.

WOW! I did not expect this kind of response from the video. Thanks guys...I love this car. I have owned 7 Mustangs in my life and this one is by far my favorite. The ride and power of this car is unbelievable. Cruising down the road you can’t tell that it has a blower on it. In fact last night I was out cruising and a 04 Cobra rolled up on me...we were going about 40mph and he jumped on it...so I pushed the peddle to the floor and pulled on him...by the time we were door to door he had to shift. On his 2-3 shift I pulled 1 1/2 cars on him and kept going. By the time I hit 100mph or so he was at least 3 or 4 cars back. At the next light he said Holy Sh!t that thing is fast...how much NOS you running...

Makes me wish I had my camcorder with me last night. Looks like I'm gonna have to do some more Cobra hunting :D

I HAVE A QUESTION OR TWO IF YOU DON'T MIND. I JUST WILL BE ORDERING A PROCHARGER WITH 10 POUNDS OF BOOST. YES, YOU CONVINCED ME... I CAN'T SEEM TO GET THE SAME ANSWER FROM THE "EXPERTS". WHEN I INSTALL THE SUPERCHARGER, WILL I NEED TO CHANGE OUT THE MAF METER AND STOCK PUMP, OR WILL THEY WORK OK?

The stock meter will work...however, I highly recomend swapping the fuel pump out. You can put a high volume SVT Focus pump in or you can get the upgraded Mach 1 Pump from the dealer for approx $350. That is the same pump thats in the 03-04 Cobras and will supply enough fuel for approx 550rwhp and with a Kenne-Bell Boost-A-Pump you should be able to hit 600+rwhp. I ran a Boost-A-Pump on my stock pump and ran out of fuel at 11-12lbs of boost.

Yah that should be the high vol SVT Focus pump. That will work just fine.

Corey, awsome vid. I have a Procharger on my Black 03 5spd, I am running 8lbs of boost and get 435hp to the rear wheels, what if I went up to 10lbs, what whould that do for me and how safe will I be? Any input would be great. I am not the best 1/4 mile guy, I got a 12.22 @ 117mph, I think I should do better than that.

Approx 20hp per 1lb of boost. I run the 3.6" pulley on my setup. On the P1SC it made 10lbs @ 6500rpm and with the D1SC it makes 14psi @ 6500rpm. However, I shift my car at 6700rpm so I see 15psi.

I SEE IN YOUR MODS YOU ARE RUNNING TWIN COBRA PUMPS. MY TUNER GUY SEZ I NEED THE TWIN COBRA PUMPS PLUS THE COBRA GAS TANK. HE SEZ THIS IS THE BEST AND SAFEST WAY TO GO. HE DOES NOT RECOMMEND THE MACH TANK, DUE TO IT NOT HAVING ANY BAFFLES... DOES THIS MAKE SINCE. ALSO, HE RECOMMENDS THE PAXTON NOVI 2000 FOR THE MACH... ANY FEED BACK...
