Anyone know of anyone offering a power pipe or smooth intake tube for in between the mass air sensor and throttle body?
Or how about ford part number for a '01 Cobra intake tube?

Wasn't the '01 Cobra intake tube not smooth as well? I'd be surprised if it fit either.

I ordered the pipe from densecharger, should be here in a couple days. I will let everyone know how it fits and if I can feel any improvements. I am figuring the car will see some improvements and be louder with replacing the smaller pipe, losing the 90-degree bend and also removing the resonator. Used the same pipe on my 01 cobra and I really liked it.

Not trying to be a smarta$$, but what's that supposed to do for you? Just trying to learn a little more about these motors. Seems to me that any bottleneck in the intake system is in front of that pipe, so making it bigger isn't going to help any.

The biggest improvement is that you get a more straight-through flow of air. Which will cause less turbulence in the air, allowing it to flow smoother and faster into the intake. It does this by removing the 90-degree bend that the factory unit has.
Also the new pipe is 100mm compared to 70-80mm. Another improvement is the exhaust sound, got deeper on my 01 cobra when I had the full length kit. It was good on the 99/01 cobra for about 5-8 hp gain, hopefully it will see the same on the mach1.

Will you be removing the tube from shaker scoop to air box as well? (since the filter would now be in the fender)
I was just looking to see if anyone had found a smooth pipe to get rid of the stock one that has a huge bend in it, plus the "hollow" box hanging off the front (aka: air silencer)

Right now I am only changing out the MAF to TB pipe, waiting to see if John comes up with a box idea that will work. If not then I may try and come up with something.

C&L has a "power pipe" , smooth and it's aluminum. More expensive than others, $149 just for the tube, but the tube and 85mm meter can be had from holocomb motorsports for $259. claim 20hp on stock cobra 10+ on stock n/a motors.....

I attempted to install the Densecharger TB pipe, with no success. It will not allow the factory airbox to line up with the shaker tubing, and the airbox sits to high for the hood to close. So unless you want to eliminate the shaker function with a complete CAI, wait until someone designs one for the mach1.
