Hey every one. I am a new member here (and love it), but i was wondering if there were any Mach 1 meet up's in the Phoenix area in the near future? I am a student at ASU and got a Mach 1 but i want to show it off with some other mach 1 owners. If there is any that people know of please let me know. Thanks again.

Howdy
I've been thinking the same thing - there are a number of other Machs in Phoenix area -- there is another thread that has been going for some time titled "Does any go to the drags on Weds in AZ" -- thread id is19266 - lots of posts on it --why don't you find the thread and post your suggestion there? There are two dragstrips in the area - Speedworld (north) and Firebird Raceway (South). It's a little hot to go to drags this time of year but in a few months when it cools down it would be nice to have one of the tracks taken over by Mach 1's

Saturday Oct 30, the Copperstate Mustang Club will have it's 25th Anniversary Mustang Celebration Car Show at the Holiday Inn just South of US 60 on Country Club in Mesa ( Not too far from ASU ). Right now we have three members with 03-04 Mach 1's, so they are lumping us in class PP with Saleens,Cobras, and Roushes. If we have four entries we will get our own class. Most of the California Clubs have a 2001-04 Heritage Edition Class, for Bullitts. We are hoping for a good turn-out from the CA Clubs, so it only makes sense to me----, we will see. Go to WWW.copperstatemustangclub.com for more info. All of the CA Mach's and Bullitts should know we have room rates with the Holiday Inn if you register before Oct. 15.

If you really want to get an overdose of Machs come to Vegas with us (Sodbuster and I). October 1,2,3rd.
Go to Mach1.org and go to events/convention.
Sod and I will be caravaning up on Friday morning and return Sunday afternoon.
And we will require to do your homework BEFORE going to the drags on Friday night!
Any other takers out there?

I plan to register for the Copperstate Mustang Club show. I figure I might as well join the club and the CMC web site says annual membership payments after Sept. 1 are good through the following year (as opposed to expiring at the end of this year), so, I think I'll wait until after 9/1. Someone else already said they'd be the fourth so my Mach would make 5.

Hey Sodbuster and RSnider, count me in for the Mach 1 Meetup Sat Aug. 21 67th Ave & Loop 101. Do things still start happing 7PM ? Thanks ASUMach 1 and 54Mach 1 for the CMC Show support. The Most I have seen together at one place is 19 at Knotts Berry.
I had allready commited to The San Diego Mustang Club's Show Oct. 1-3 or I would be going to Las Vegas, should be a good turnout there, and the Hard Rock Cafe is just across the street. Maybe next year. I will give the San Diego Club credit after the Sat. Night banquet, they party like it's Vegas.
CMC dues are $15 a year, it's worth it for the Club Newsletter alone.

Hey ASUMACH1,
Sorry you couldn't make it too, but Family is Family. We had a good turn out, six cars: 1 '03 DSG, 1 "04 DSG, 1 Zink Yellow "03, 1 Azure Blue '03, 1 Comp. Orange '04 and my Torch Red '04. Your car would have fit right in the lineup, and we did line them up and photo's were taken. One shot was really good of those six shaker hoods roughly lined up ( I'll do a better job with my car next time, Promise). Maybe we can do this again next month on the east side? We know there are people out there reading these threads that could show up. If we alternate what side of town we meet on, we can give more people a chance. I am no fan of Scottsdale Pavilions, but if we meet over between Target and Barbecues Galore I don't think to many people will get bent out of shape if we take up 1 1/2 spaces per car.
Keep on Maching, Darel

Wow, I'm impressed at the turnout! I would have liked to have been there but had company in town. Next time I will try to be there (or at the CMC meet if no meeting before). My Mach would have looked a little out of place in the row though - no-one else has Cobra Jet emblems on the shaker -- some people on the board don't like the emblems but I think when you see them in person you'll like them

Both Speedworld and Firebird have programs running this Saturday night. But the street legal drags are open this Friday at Firebird... anyone interested?
Speedworld has a friday night program too. They would be better cause there is less people and you would get more runs in.

They have "Street, Pro-Trophy & Gambler" Tonight (Friday). They did list a Time Only (TO) lane. Do you think the time only lane will be long, or will most drivers be competing in the classes? I'd be up for it if someone else goes?
Hey guys, we can't let Tuck have ALL the fun!
Rick the time only lane isnt very long at all most of the cars run in a bracket class. Im heading out there tonight to meet a buddy. You should go out there if you get a chance.

Always Saturday night. We meet up around 6:30-7.

Between 6:30 and 7 it is. I really don't know how much of a difference over stock it made because i bought it used with 1000 miles. The guy who owned it before just told me what he had done to it to make it beat his wifes 03 corvette. But no matter I love it.
Anyone want to the track this weekend. I believe I might have the fastest mach in AZ. On sat I ran a 13.27 @105 with a 1.99 60ft. It spun alittle, if I can get it to hook I think I can go 12.99 with just exhaust and intake. Any takers.

 Count me in for this Sat. at 67th Ave & Loop 101. I am staying home this weekend to get caught up on projects around the house, but a little fun won't hurt. Sound's like we need to schedule a group dyno day for our Mach 1's. Right now preformance wise my car is bone stock, but I have a few Mod's in mind. We could use my numbers as a baseline and see how the others compare. See you all Sat. night and come hungry, we need to support the merchant's like Barrio's pizza, and the yorgart shop, or we will be moving again in 6 mos. 1st it was 59th and Bell, then 67th and Bell, now 67th and Loop 101.I am starting to notace a trend here, I give it a year and a half and we will be at 83rd and Jomax. I finnaly tracked down someone I work with that has an all-out race car that he shows on Saturdays. It's a 30 something-blown-big block Anglia... anyway, he said that the 67/Bell bunch moved to the northwest corner of 59th and Bell? Behind a Wendy's. Maybe this Saturday we can caravan there from 67/101 after we all meet up and check it out? It sounded like most all of the 150 or so bunch from K-Mart shows up there now.

Torch Red is in!!!
The whole car club scene has fragmented since the K-Mart parking lot shut down. A lot of the street rodders and low riders have gone to a parking lot at the southwest corner of 75th and T-Bird, most of the twenty-somthing year-old Mustangers have been going to the Sonic Drive-in at the southeast corner of 35th Ave and Union Hills. Be very cool around there, a Prostreet racing letter appeared in the Oct. issue of Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords, and the Phoenix PD is going to be taking a very strong interest in what happens there.( Tip from a Glendale Detective who is big into Mustangs too.) And there is the parking lot at 67th Ave South of loop 101. Ace Hardware is going in where the .99 cent store is, so we need to support the merchants, clean up after ourselves, and police any outragous activities if we want to stay there.
Keep on Maching!!

The Southern Arizona Mustang Club invites all Mach 1's, Cobra's and other Mustangs and Fords to the 40th Annual Great Pumpkin, Ford-Aganza Car Show. This year the show will be on October 23, in downtown Tucson on historic 4th Ave. The street will be closed and the Mustangs and Fords will be sharing the street with the 4th Ave. trolley. We are also going to have the Chip Foose, 1960 "Starliner". See it before it becomes the center of attraction at the Barrett-Jackson Auction in January. Oh, and don't forget your gravity Pumpkin Car Racer.
See all the details at our website: http://www.fordaganza.com/

This weekend is the Phoenix area Cruise on Central Ave. I'm sure, weather permitting, it will be a huge production. By 3 pm last Spring there were only occasional single parking places left open. If we wanted to park together we would need to be at Park Central Mall by 1-2 pm. It would be possible to park the Mach then go home and come back latter? I'll probably be sticking it out from the beginning. So if we parked together I could watch your cars.

Saturday Nov. 20; All Mustangs are invited to gather at the Scottsdale Pavilions, bring a donation of six cans of food, or a Turkey to benefit The Valley Food Bank. It starts at 4PM, plan on being there by 3PM though. The Copper State Mustang Club will be there starting at Noon, and has permission from the organizers to set aside 2 rows for our cars, if we get enough response from the Mach 1 Registry Owners, I can set aside a few places for our Cars. One nice thing about the Pavilions, if you get there early you can see a movie, shop at Home Depot, Eat at one of several places, and with a Mustang (Hopefully a Mach 1!!) on each side of you the tight spaces are not to big a concern.
