A friend who has an acquaintance in the know at SVT (doesn't that sound official?) has passed on to me information that may be of interest to those of us that are 'GT' junkies. The Ford GT (OK, GT-40) has had its power rating upgraded from the original 500hp to over 560hp. This person also said that they expect the first years production to sell for $100K over sticker per vehicle, but that for those that are willing to wait they should be available for list (he compared it to the first year production of the Viper, and we all know what happened to the price of those, kinda like some Mach 1's out there!). They are still on schedule to build 1,500 copies over the course of a few years.
