Ford has previewed their biggest news for the upcoming New York Auto Show. As many of you know, the 03/04 Mach 1 was introduced there, in APRIL of 2002.
This time Ford ups the ante with the new EcoBoost 5.0 Hybrid Mach 1. A spokesman says that things brings the s550 into the next phase by knocking on the supercar/hypercar door. The newest technology, known as BRAT (Battery Reserve-Advanced Technology), it allows for the twin turbo V8 to push out its normal 650hp, with a 125 power reserve for passing that pesky old lady in the V6 Mustang that just won't get out of your way, or that 18 wheeler that just seems to go on forever. The electric hybrid reserve is available in most modes and channeled through the front wheels by use of the first production use of the Ferguson Four drive system in a Ford Product. Ford spokesman say; No one FOOLS with us on the road or on the track. We own it, we own it all. Take that Z28 weinies. Track times are expected to out perform the new Ford GT, with its lame-o V6 Ecoboost. We would like to take this chance to aplogize for making Ford fans have to deal with a $400k supercar that is obviously short two cylinders. We hope this new Mach 1 makes up for it.
No pricing has been announced, nor will it probably ever be.
