You have to get the computer re-flashed or get a chip. The problem is that the speedo uses one method of determining speed and the shift program in the computer uses a different vehicle speed sensor.

If I had an auto and changed the rear gears, I would use a device like this. http://superchip.com/html/products/ford/cars.htm

I just bought one for 339.00 and I thought that was a good deal. I would buy this right now at that price if I had not bought one last week. Thats the lowest price I have seen

I'm working with a seller on ebay for one at $260. He will have to order it, but they can be had for under $300 post as soon as you guys get them. I'm looking forward to buying mine!

You got the right information, you can't have a speedcal put on an automatic because there are two sensors on an auto, not just one like the 5spds.

The chip is a must, you should also get it to set new shift points along with the speedo correction.
