For me it's a 1967 Ford Fairlane 500, 390 engine. At least I don't go through women like I do cars! (wife prefers it that way)

I'm thinning out the fleet too. I'm selling a 1937 Buick (nice) a 1974 cadillac hearse (I can tell some stories about partying in this thing) and a 1989 Shelby Dakota i've had since new, used it to tow a 66 GT-350 to shows. Buick and Shelby are on ebay.

I like to say that I am "exchanging" my 1998 GT convertible for a 2003 Mach 1. The lease is up on the 98 and my original plan was to purchase it at lease end, that ain't gonna happen!

The last payment on the Windstar occurs in October. Good timing eh? That will still be my daily and winter driver. Payment will be same too, which is nice.

Getting rid of my 96 Camaro. After the experiences I've had with this car, not sure I'll be getting another Chevy. I hope Ford will live up to my expectations.

Sold my 86 SVO and will be selling my 01 GT. With Ford offering 0% on new 02 Mustangs, though, it will make it harder for me to sell my 01.

If it comes to it, I'll be parting very quickly with an 02 V6 Pony Convertible. My dad is hoping to keep it in the family and give it to my little bro (lucky little stiff, I didn't have anyone offering ME a brand new Stang when I was 18). If he doesn't get it though, somebody will. I will have a Mach 1!!!

Man COBRAjg, why are getting rid of a real beauty like that??

It beaks my heart that I can't keep my '01 GT due to the $1,600 per year insurance, it would be TIMEs 2, yikes. Vegas is bad for insurance, I have perfect dring record and no claims, go figure.

The mach1 has about the power I am making now and has what I need for the strip. Which is the beefed up solid rear, better front/rear suspension, subframe connectors, and upgraded DOHC. All that and I will save a few bucks a month. Plus that DSG is awesome! :HOPPY:

What I thought was my first born is now up for sale. I've got it posted on this site and quite a few more. It's a 95 GT Convertible with only 43K miles on it. I never thought I would part with it, but after seeing the Mach 1 in person at the Dream Cruise and hearing the "Ford Country Attendant" rev it up, I had to do whatever it takes to buy it. Please spread the good word out and help me sell my Mustang so I will be able to fullfill this dream...thanks.

I had no luck selling my 1st born (he's 21):p So, I had to put my 01 GT up for sale. It was my first Mustang in 20 years and I love it, but I can't pass up a Mach I.

I AM SELLING A 2003 NISSAN 350Z TOURING/PERFORMANCE PACKAGE W/ NAVIGATION, ETC. I PRE-ORDERED IT IN JANUARY. I WAS FOLLOWING THE MACH ONE SINCE THE FIRST REPORT I SAW ON IT ON STANGNET.COM. AS SOON AS I HEARD FORD WAS PRODUCING IT, I RAN TO THE DEALER THAT DAY AND BOUGHT THE ONLY ONE HE WAS ABLE TO SELL ALL YEAR. WHITE W/ INTERIOR UPGRADE PACKAGE. I AM A HUGE MUSTANG FAN, I BOUGHT MY FIRST GT IN '87 BRAND NEW @ 17YRS OLD. I WORKED IT AND WAS ABLE TO BEAT A GRAND NATIONAL LIGHT TO LIGHT, ON CENTRAL AVENUE IN YONKERS FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT RECONGNIZE THAT PLACE. IT WAS IN MUSTANG MAGAZINE APRIL 88'.

Selling my 02' Gt. I bought it at A-Plan, so it will not be that hard. I wish I could get the Mach 1 at A-plan. And they told me, no dice on X-plan either.

Trading in my '01 GT Prem. coupe to get my hands on this jewel. A little less than 2 years old this Laser Red car has just over 14k miles on it, I'm only 3 miles from work so the miles don't add up quickly. Hate to see it go, the Bullitt wheels look really good with the color, saw the same on a new Torch GT, didn't look so good. Hope the new wheels do the Torch car more justice, 'cause that's what I've got coming.

Hey Falcon,
Has your dealer given you any idea what you'll get on a trade?
I've also got an 01 Prem.GT. Just cracked 10k mi. I'm trying to sell it privately but, not having much luck.Just lowered the price to 18,500. Worst case I'll have to trade it in and hope for decent $$.

POLSMACH03
09-03-2002, 01:58 PM
Yes that sucks having to trade. I sold my 01 premium 5S back in early June for 18,000 w/25K miles and lojack. Didn't want to have to trade come October when I probably would have had close to 30K.

70Mach03
09-03-2002, 02:23 PM
I tried to keep mine under 10k. But, I just couldn't do it.
Around here (Northeast) Mustangs don't really sell after late summer, used or new.

Assuming nothing tragic happens to the car between now and then 17K is where we stand, it seems a little low compared to selling outright but by the time you figure the tax credit I pick up on the trade and not having to hassle with selling it it's about like getting high 18's for it.

Yeah, that's about what I'm expecting. I have to bring the car to the dealer today so, I'll find out for sure.

I'm selling my 94 gt to get the mach. My husband's keeping his 93 and we're both keeping our trucks. I was going to sell next year but when i read about the mach i had to have it.

Would it be a good idea for me to trade my car in? The only thing is that it's not paid off yet. **** what should I do? The first
time I saw the Mach I said to my self that I gotta have it.

I just refinanced my 94 in april so I still had two years left paying it off. Depending on how much you owe I would sell to a private party rather than trading in. I know that if I traded my car in I wouldn't have gotten any money over my payoff. This way, i'll have a little bit for my downpayment.

and a 2002 Expedition for family.
My Mach is for me only and thats my spring car:)
