Synthetic Oil

Has anyone considered using Mobil 1 with the DOHC 4.6? Anyone have any experience using this oil with a modular engine?

That's THE ONLY oil I've been using in my Ford vehicles since '94. I intend to use it in the Mach 1 also, after about 1,000 miles, out will go the factory installed mineral oil, and in goes the Mobil 1 full synthetic.

Same here, I have been using Mobil 1 since 1986.

So, I guess both you will switch from 5W-20 to 5W-30?Why did Ford go from 30 to 20 in the first place?

To get their CAFE ratings up, its not alot on one car, but when you sell alot of cars its starts to add up....

I'm going with mobile 1. Did in my 98 cobra and will do the same in the Mach1.
