Mustang fuel tanks

Has anyone heard anything about mustang fuel tanks having problems when in a crash? (leaking) If so are there any modifications available. I'm not one of those safety wackos who's afraid to do anything, but I would like to know if there is anything to this.

I actually just got hit in my bullitt hence the time to respond to these posts. I was in a serious wreck got hit where the tank is knocked my bullitt gas cap off all together but no leaking whatsoever so its actually quite safe.
