No ford stamp on my windows. Must be a Mach 1 thang. The only stamp I see is the Carlite stamp. Where is it in relation to that stamp??

Is it possible we've just discovered another reference to the original Mach 1 models? Maybe back then they didn't have FORD stamped on thier windows either!!

this is probebly due to the fact the rear quarter window is differnt from the regular mustang many folks have found bullit stickers under the factory orange or red dot

no stamp. I do like the running horse on the windshield though.

Is it just my bad luck or are manufacturers (not just Ford, but all manufacturers) making automobile windshields "softer" now than in earlier years? I swear every gnat and mosquito I hit leaves a chip or ding in the windshield! I've seen cars that are 25-30 years old with releatively less windshield damage from flying debris than cars just a few years old.

I've noticed the same thing. I never got a chip or ding in my pre-90's vehicles...but my newer cars seem to get pitted when parked! I need to put tear-off's on my 03.

Right where the Ford sybols usually are! I have Mustang windows...don't you guys?! I got the special car from the factory with "racing glass!" Oh yea I got new Saleen racing air for my tires too!! I dropped 2 sec. in my 1/4.

Hmmm you are using air?? I put helium in my tires to "lighten" the car. I got a full 4 secs off my time! :eyebrows: LOL I am looking at vinyl flames to take another second off. hehehe

I agree...My '63 Ford F100 had its original windsheild and didn't have nearly as many knicks as my '90 Mustang did when I sold it. Now I'm not sure, but I think the glass in the truck was safety glass too.

but your 63 f100 didn't go as fast
although i do agree on the older windshields lasting a bit longer
