Pretty neat car just finished locally. Obviously I don't provide pics until these things are made public. This was built at a local shop, VCP. Wayne has done some unusual cars in the past and has more to come.

Supercharged and TT'd 4.6 in a FFR Mk3+. Just 644rwhp so far. I thought you guys might like the look of this car with NO side pipes. It kinda lets you know something different is going on with the car. Congrats to Wayne, he is the most creative of the Pro-builders for these cars.

wow, That is weird, I never even imagined a turbo and supercharged engine both together..

I remember seeing a site with a TT'd and supercharged Cobra and it was putting out around 1100 hp but Im sure most of you know what Im talking about and have probably seen it.

It's called a Hellion kit. I saw a white Mach a couple years back at Gearheads that was getting one installed.

New 5.0 magazine shows the new kit for compound boost on a GT500 as well as a feature car that uses this same kit. Curious to know how that effects engine life versus one or the other. Guess it's a kit for the guy who just can't decide which one he likes better. So why not both.

Nope, he says it's much nicer than having the side pipes. You can have a conversation while at interstate speed, that is not normal with a cobra. The TT's work much better than the muffs in the side exhaust. Pretty cool because that was one of the issues with driving a cobra.

Blasphemy- "issues?"

That's the whole point! Loud, uncomfortable, smells like gas, and it's the ride of you're life.

I finished an FFR Earlier this year and those listed are the coolest parts!

+1. They can turn any ordinary Cobra into a true dyno queen with stupid high numbers!

Hellion is based out of albuquerque. They basically add twin turbos to the eaton on a cobra. Its called the hellraiser kit. They have been doing it for years. This video was shot right here in ABQ. Car made 914 rwhp:

Personally, Im not a fan of their turbo kits. They are high quality and very clean installs, but I dont like the materials they use.

Same here. Wayne fabs his own systems to order and has a dyno in his shop. He also manufactures and tunes the stack induction systems like I'm using on my hot rod. He has some pretty neat stuff on his website.

Is that the cobra with "stock internals that could've ran more boost but it was lifting the heads of the block?" That's what my buddy was told when he went in to Motiva.

I actually haven't seen one that I like. We usually have to redesign them a bit when we get one in and have to tune it.

I also LMMFAO at the correction factors they use in ABQ on turbo cars. I've seen 30% correction factors........Denver is bad about that too.

Bill makes a good point about the tune factor here. Wayne's shop has seen a steady line for that dyno. When I first meet Wayne I'm not sure he had the base of experience needed to tune such a wide variety of cars. I no longer have reservations about his experience or knowledge, he gets daily practice with all the brand name tuners for OEM systems and is a recognized expert with Electromotive, Redline, and others. I won't need to go far with my hot rod for tuning. I plan to use MegaSquirt and do the tuning myself but Wayne will be running the dyno and his input won't be ignored. :worship:

On a side note, I missed out on the most recent batch of MS3 daughter boards yesterday. It took me less than 20 minutes from when they announced the arrival to get them on the phone and I was too late. They still have some of the complete systems for sale but all I need is the upgrade board. I already have a case for the MS3 along with a MS2 3.0 ready for upgrade. Unless somebody that picked up 2 of them helps me I'm on hold for 2-3 weeks. The demand for these systems is huge. :23:

Ya........all the turbo cars here make overinflated numbers because they think they should use the same correction as N/A and supercharged cars do. Heh. Truth is, turbo cars lose hardly any power up here compared to N/A and supercharged.

Ya I think its the same one. The stock head bolts are the weak point on the cobra motors. Thats why I laugh when someone on svtp tries to tell me that the cobra motors can reliably hold 800 hp stock. Ive personally seen a cobra lift the heads and spray coolant all over the dyno with alot less than that.......and to make matters worse that was at THIS altitude.....
