View Full Version : How much is it worth? 2003 Mach 1 34K miles

I'm thinking about putting my car up for sale. Perfect condition, light mods. Just want something faster, costs too much to put a blower on it and do it right with forged internals.

2003 Oxford White 5 speed, 34k miles on it. Assuming perfect condition, what could I expect to get? Also have all the factory parts, exhaust, cats, *everything*.

Also have a set of AFS 17x9 Factory Finish Wheels for the rear.

I"m trying to sell mine with 20k miles. What I have been told is $14-15.5k. I have had several offers for $13k. Not sure if this helps....

Yah, since the economy tanked, they really lost a lot of value and demand. I wonder how long it will be before they start to become "classics" and start to appreciate.

The only thing they really have going for them is the limited production aspect, but I just don't see this car being a highly sought after classic.

Then again if I do sell it, I don't really know what to get to replace it. Most 03/04 Cobras are beat to 5hit and modified to hell. The GT500's are just grossly over priced even on the used market IMO.

I'm just looking for a nice daily driver solid low 12 second car.

MM & FF magazine tested the new 5.0 liter and with just drag radials and a few practice runs, they ran a 12.34 1/4 mile.

Wow, really? I figured the weight of the car would still keep in the high 12's. Have they started selling them yet? Or is this a preview for 2011?

The new 5.0's should hit most dealer lots within the next several weeks. I would go to your local magazine stand and pick up the July issue of MM & FF. Has a great write-up on the new 5.0 and shows impressive results after putting the car through its paces.

So this is considered the new GT right? Its not like an upgraded package like the Mach 1 was over the old GT?

I wonder if they will allow it to be sold on the X-plan? That's how I bought my Mach 1, saved a lot of money with all the rebates. Paid 22K for it November of 03'. That's the only reason I didn't buy a Cobra at the time, no X-plan, no rebates, so it was nearly a 15K difference from the Mach 1 to a Cobra at the time.

It's indeed the new GT. 32V, 5.0 liter, 6-speed. It's a 10th faster in the 1/4 than last year's GT500. I would think the X-plan would be offered like last time.

I just ordered mine via X plan. A Kona Blue base GT with 3.55's and Brembo's. Cost to me is just under $31k plus tax and crap. A hell of a deal if ya ask me.

what is a x-plan

A-Plan is the Ford Employee Purchase Plan for Active Ford Employees and their qualifying family members..

Z-Plan is the Ford Employee Purchase Plan for Retired Ford Employees and their qualifying family members.

X-Plan is the "Friends and Neighbors Plan" for Ford Employees (Active and Retired) to give to their friends, neighbors and acquaintances and family members who do not qualify for A or Z-Plan.

D-Plan is for qualified Ford Dealership Employees.

what is a x-plan

There's a few ways to get X-plan. DAV members get it, & Home Depot employees do as well. Sometimes, if you're in good with the dealership, they can get you a PIN for it.

ummm... there is no way im commenting on any HOW MUCH IS MY MACH worth threads... ever..... :)

Best of luck if ya plan on selling her. It really all depends how quickly you want the sale to be. You will most likely get more money if ya hold out, less if ya just want to sell her asap.
