315s or 295s

The rear wheels are 17 X 10.5 and the springs are BBKs.
I want to use either M/T 315/35/17 or the 295/45/17. My question of course is will they fit. I do plan to remove the quads.

I have 315s nittos not the drag radial, and they fit perfect i have ford c springs tho.

Im runnin 315-35 nitto drags on h&r ss springs with poly isolators and stock tokicos. Still runnin the quads out back. More than enough room:3amin:

I`m thinking the 295s would hook better.

I'm running the Nitto Drags 315/35/17 on 10.5" rims. The tires fit well with no rubbing. They hooked up good at the track and on the street. I ran them at 14 psi at the track and 25 psi on the street. Forgot to add My mach is also lowered with different springs.

You would be correct. Both tires will fit without having to remove the quad shocks but the 295's with the taller sidewall will out hook the 315's all day.

295's, like stated above, will hook better. Wider is not always better. I have 315's Nitto DR's and they are not the greatest on the track. They are amazing on the street though.
