I'm about to close a deal on 18in wheels with 315's in the back and 40 series tall.

I'm sure there's a few of you that have this size tire in the back. Any issues?

p.s. I have the Eibach pro kit springs installed.

Thanks in advance for the input.

my buddy had 18's and running 315's and he had to roll his fender back there cuz it was hitting, when i did my 315's on 17's, i had no issues, both cars were lower with h&r super sport springs. both of us running DR's also

should post some pictures up with it, my buddy said it was easy though to roll the fender, don't know what the tool is cuz i didn't have to use it and wasn't there when he did his, but i'm guessing its what body shops have and something you could prob find online for cheap. good luck post :PICS: here when you get them on there

I was hoping that there wouldn't be any alterations required to get 315's on 18's to fit. I know with 345's it's an issue.

Anybody else that has 18's with 315's? Issues?

sometimes it sucks adding a new part and have to do alittle extra just to make it work in the end, but it would well worth it and my buddy don't know if i put this in there said it was easy and it came out nice looking also.

I was running a 284.40.18 on my mach, and I had to roll the fender becuase it was cutting into the sidewall of the tire... BAD Looking at the size of the chunks taken out I thought for sure I was going to pop a tire.

I was lowered with an eibach pro kit at the time, and tubular non adjustable control arms with tokico illuminas at that time.

I was slicing the sidewall on 295's with H&R SS springs. You are going to want to roll your fenders.

Not what I wanted to hear guys.

I'm going with 285's instead. Anybody have issues with the 285's with just the Eibach pro kit? No other suspension mods that might lower the car.

Probably good that you heard it though if you aren't willing to roll the fenders. It's not all that hard if you can borrow/rent a fender roller. Or you can pay a shop to do it (around $100).

Sounds like SparksMach had issues with 285's as well. I think something we may have overlooked was the rim width. What is it? If the rim isn't 18x10 and is 9" or something it probably doesn't stick out as far, thus keeping it away from the fender well.

A 40 sidewall is taller than normal too right? Wouldn't a 315/18 have a 35 sidewall to stay about stock tire height?

These 285's are T1R 285/35/ZR18. Rim width is 10.5"

That's got to be HUGE. I have 315/30/18's for my back tires and I rub when I'm turning and going up a slope. I'd have no tire left with a 315/40/18 lol

Decided to go with 285's instead.

just roll the fenders with the eastman kit and then take a bfh to the part on the inner fenderwell that touches the tire. too simple people too simple.

Im planning on doing 305s or 315s, just curious, theres no visual defects from rolling is there? I dont need to do the fronts i dont think? But I planned to get it done and just wanted to make sure its not going to wrinkle the fender or something on the outside where you see it.

thanks

you might have a bit of visual fender imperfection from rolling just depends on how careful you or the shop that does it is. doing the fronts can sometimes cause issues with being able to remove the inner fender liner as well.

Ok thanks, I dont see why I would need to roll the fronts, I dont plan on running fat tires up front ha.
